Evelyn Elizabeth Crow

of Leslie, AR

January 12, 1944 - November 30, 2020

Evelyn Elizabeth Crow, age 76 of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, November 30th, 2020 at Somerset Nursing Facility in Yellville, Arkansas. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on January 12th, 1944 to Louis Otto "L.O." Bluerock Sr. and Geraldine Elizabeth Enderby Bluerock.

Evelyn graduated from Pine Bluff High School. After marriage to her husband, Joe Dale Crow she followed him wherever the railroad took him and raised their two boys. They would spend their time camping, traveling, and enjoyed cruising the roads in their street rods. After Joe's retirement they moved back to Arkansas and shortly after bought the Crow's Nest, an antique and collectable establishment. Evelyn spent many long hours working there. After Joe's death in 2018 she retired and enjoyed time at home. She had an amazing green thumb and spent many hours gardening and enjoying her flowers. She loved to feed the squirrels, chipmunks and birds.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Dale "JD" Crow Jr. of Fort Worth, TX and Timothy Louis Crow of Leslie; two grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Benet and husband Andy of Sherwood and Emily Anne Crow of Little Rock; three great-grandchildren, Griffin Andrew Benet, Skyleigh Benet and Lorelai Anne Benet; two sisters, Barbara Bluerock Harris-Chambliss and husband Dan of Pine Bluff and Mary Harris of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; and a host of other family and friends who will also mourn her passing.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Otto and Geraldine Bluerock; her husband, Joe Dale Crow who passed away in 2018; and brother, Louis Bluerock Jr.

Graveside services for Evelyn will be 1:00 PM Friday, December 4th, 2020 at Dennard Cemetery in Van Buren County with Bro. Tommy Jolly officiating. Bearers will be Mike Crow, Colby Crow, Rickey Don Crow, Daniel Cook, Kenneth Keeling and Carl Lee Crow.

Sending our sincere condolences to you guys. Still remember the visits in Arkansas with both of your parents. Especially them helping me with a painting project on my first motorcycle. Pretty sure it was paint left over from one of their hot rods. I’m sure they are celebrating together in heaven. Prayers for comfort in the days ahead.

Memories of Evelyn for us are as a pretty little girl who always seemed happy and loved. We had just started dating when Evelyn was one year old. As friends of Louis Jr. we were often around and, of course, Jim remembers most the Bluerock familiy and his family at Christmases at Grandma Bluerock''s home. It is good to know of the large family for support and comfort coming together to celebrate Evelyn's life. We send a prayer for God's peace and love to be with each of you.

Evelyn was a good neighbor and I was always amazed at how neat she kept her house. She was always so sweet and loved her family very much. When they had the antique store she enjoyed visiting with everyone and had a lot of knowledge of antiques. So sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers for you Tim and all the family during this time. I met Evelyn when I stopped in at her shop. After a short conversation I felt like I had known her all my life. She was a kind person. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

Evelyn was a very kind and caring soul. She had a tender spirit and never met a stranger. She was a wonderful Mother- in-law who taught me many things about life including decorating, antiques and vintage collectibles that I still think about often. She was one of the most energetic women I have ever known and I admired how she could keep her house perfectly neat and tidy at all times. She will definitely be missed but she is in the arms of our savior now - no more suffering or discomfort and I am sure very happy to see Joe waiting for her at the gates of Heaven. Love you Evelyn
