Joe Riggs, 92, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020. He was born September 10, 1928, in Hoxie, Arkansas, to the late Gay and Mary Lee (Dodd) Riggs. He was a member of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. Prior to retiring, Joe worked at General Motors in Flint, Michigan.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Gay and Mary Lee; his wife, Mary (Jacobs) Riggs; son, Kenny Joe Riggs; four brothers; and four sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are brothers, Jerry Riggs and wife, Stella, Leon Riggs and wife, Peggy, of Monette, Missouri, and Conway Riggs, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and sister, Lavada Harrell.
A graveside service for Joe will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Gibson Cemetery with Wynndel King officiating.
Joe's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health, all attendees must provide and wear masks at the graveside services.
