We used to have so much fun on our family vacations from California to Arkansas, visiting my uncles, aunts and cousins. Uncle Walter and my cousins were always fun to be around. I am happy I was able to go back there a few years ago with my mom and see him. So sorry. RIP.

Enjoyed working with Walter in my early years at falcon jet. Enjoyed a few conversations with him about our previous lives in the Navy. Praying for your family during this time of loss.

There’s a lot to remember about Walter. Growing up together on Nubbin Hill, and then after high school, Robert, Rex Rains, and Walter joined the Navy, and left Arkansas on the same day. They went to boot camp in San Diego, and then, Walter and Robert spent the next three years in the Navy Construction Battalion, building airstrips and other projects around the Japanese islands. Then, back in civilian life, they stayed a while with Gladys in California before coming back home to Arkansas. We’ll always remember the family get togethers and the good times.

Rest in Peace,
Robert and Shirley
