My deepest condolences over your loss and your deep sadness! I pray that God Bless each and everyone of you and that he comforts you!
Bill was one of the best people I knew. Always there if you needed help. I was glad to have him as a friend!
My deepest sympathy to Sherry and the rest of the family. I am saddened to have lost such a faithful friend and brother officer. Bill taught me a lot when I was a rookie cop and in the years to come. I admired and respected him. He always told me "unless you can back up what you say...then you probably better not say it. But if you can back it up, then go forth with a vengeance and do the job and don't rely on another officer to do your job". Very wise words. I will miss you Lieutenant. Rest easy #29. See you again some day.
I am Bill's cousin from Virginia. Unable to see him on one of my road trips during my retirement. The Thessings are wonderful people committed to service for others. I thank God for Bill's life and pray for the healing of all who love him.
sherry i was so sorry to hear of your loss, bill was a great guy. my prayers are with you
T29 Lt. Thessing was always fair with me and others. He wrote the book on many of Conway PD's policy and procedures. Bill had a wicked sense of humor and was liked by everyone. Bill will be missed by many, my heart goes out to his family at this time. Love and prayers to all.
The loss of a friend is always hard. I cherish the good memories.
Sherry, I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family continue to be in my prayers! Much love.
I’m so sorry to hear about Bill’s passing. May he Rest In Peace!

Very sorry to hear about Bill. I knew him for many years and had the opportunity to work with him. He will be missed and deepest sympathy to the family.
Bill was my 1sgt many years ago, he was my mentor. I finally made 1sgt in the same unit he was in. He taught me a lot. As a young Staff Sgt I would get assigned a mission and I would go to Bill and ask him do I need this equipment or do I need that equipment, and he would say " Its better to have and not need then to need and not have". That stuck with me my entire Army career and even in civilian life.
So sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in peace army brother.
Sorry to hear of 1SG Thessing's passing. My condolences to the family.
I worked with Bill many years. I knew him to be a great person and friend and a very good Officer. He will be missed.
I really enjoyed working with T. We had lots of conversations and I learned a lot from him. His shift was crazy and always had something going on. I know he was respected by all who worked with him and he will be missed. God bless you all and may the God give you comfort.
I am saddened to learn of Bill's passing. He was a steadfast soldier, a champion in the never ending battle against crime, and a dear friend to me and my family. He always bore more than his share of any burden, and if Satan himself had to be arrested, Bill would be there to kick in the door, and you'd be a fool to overlook him when planning the raid. Bill & I have witnessed a lot together, and not all of it good, but he was ALWAYS there whenever I needed him and in every instance, providing exactly what was needed. I'm gonna miss him, but I'd like to think that he's just gone ahead to work out the logistics for our reunion.
