James F. "Jim" Billingsley, 89, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Helena. He was born July 29, 1931 in Helena to the late Corrine and Jesse Billingsley.
James retired from Southern Company as a fuel manager and worked as a CPA for over 50 years as well as being a pilot for the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Helena and a former treasurer and president of the Helena Country Club. He is also a former golf champion of Helena.
He is survived by his spouse of 67 years, Patricia Spivey Billingsley; son, Franklin Billingsley of Houston, Texas; daughter, Sharon Kay Billingsley of Seminole, Florida; two grandchildren, James Alan Woods and Spivey Woods Wilson (Blake); two great grandchildren, Daniel and Abigail.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Peggy Schenebeck and Claire Hicks.
A funeral service for James F. "Jim" Billingsley will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home as well. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena. Rev. Lori Kleinjan will officiate.
