William Everett Davis

William E. Davis, 91, of Batesville passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020.

He was born on February 17, 1929 in Hazelhurst, Mississippi to Zadok Davis and Minnie (Perrett) Davis.

William was a member of First Baptist Church of Batesville. He was a graduate of Mathis High School of Memphis, Tennessee; he was a member of the Batesville Civil War Round Table, East Memphis Junior Chamber of Commerce, he was also a master gardener. William enjoyed reading and loved the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Erma (Livingston) Davis; two daughters, Connie Davis Albers of West Memphis and Amy Davis Brown (David) of Jonesboro; one sister, Jean Scott of Bogalusa, Louisiana; and three grandchildren, Dr. Katherine Royek of Howell, Michigan, William Davis Brown and Elisabeth Ann Brown both of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Owen Cook Davis; and two sisters, Elizabeth Davis Donahoe and Rachel Davis Keyes.

Pallbearers are Joe Swafford, Ted Hall, Don Limley, Larry Duchanoy, Richard Byers, and Curt Martin. Honorary pallbearers are his Sunday school class.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Monday, November 23, 2020 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Bro. Stacy Reed and Eddie Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in his honor to a charity of your choice.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering and social distancing will be observed.

Dear Aunt Erma, Connie, and Amy,

My heart goes out to you at this time. I will always cherish my memories of Uncle Bo. He was such a gentleman. I'm so sorry that I will not be able to attend, but will come and visit at a later date. Prayers for comfort and peace.
