of Mayflower, AR
July 24, 1956 - November 16, 2020
Orin Lee Whited, 64, of Mayflower, AR, went to be with the Lord November 16th, 2020. He was born July, 24th, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas, to the Late Donald Ray Whited and Ola Mae Wickham. Orin was also preceded in death by his son, Eric Lee Whited, and his brother Doug Whited. Orin devoted his life to his family and his community. He enjoyed his work in the tree business, and has left the legacy of his knowledge behind in the many that he has mentored.
Orin was loved far and wide by many. To know him was to love him, as he never met a stranger. His family and many friends will dearly miss his infectious humor, generosity, and endless conversation.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family; spouse of 26 years, Cheryl Wilson; sons Jake Clayton Whited and Jeff Chandler Whited; Daughters Yvonne Brock and Emily Whited; Brother Aaron Whited; Sisters Vickie Arnold, Judy Whited, and Renee Witherspoon; Grandsons Klint Lee Pollzzie, and Konnor Jordan Pollzzie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Orin's Memorial Service will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm Monday, November 23rd, 2020, at Orin's property in Mayflower, AR. With interment to immediately follow at Stone Hill Ranch in Mayflower.
I met Orin at a (surprise) hurricane cleanup job in 2004 in L.A.... (lower Alabama). I was reading over what was said about my friend and what I saw was from people that I could instantly tell knew just what kind of special person he truly was! I won't even try to express just what an impression he made on me in our short time working together except to say it saddens my old heart to know the world lost another one of the good guys! I'll bring the Clementines and a hunk of good cheese when I have to head that way! Till then Orin!
I’ve known him all my life. Many memories from childhood. His dad and my dad were best friends, his grandparents and my grandparents were best friends. Have not seen him since 1981, but will still miss him. Prayers for his family.
Can't believe you are no longer here! Was just looking up your number to call you & found this out . May the Angels fly you straight to Hreaven where God is waiting with open arms.
Love forever
Debby

Orin was My Friend and My Mentor, he was as big as John Henry himself ! A larger than life character that will be missed dearly. My Friend Orin Whited Rest Easy TreeMan...
To the family,
Orin was my cousin, his dad Don and my mom, Betty Sue were brothers and sisters. We spent more time together growing up than most cousins. His family came to our house more than any other cousins that lived away from the Bono area. Orin was may age I was a few months older.
Orin ALWAYS came to our Grandpa Whited's birthdays! and Eric was always with him. Their coming meant a lot to my Grandma who lived with my parents after Grandma passed away, It was very evident that he loved and admired our Grandpa! My Grandpa grew up in the Ash Flat area and knew more about trees than anyone I knew. My dad said he saw Orin's dad Don climb a tree with a chainsaw got up 15 to 20 feet up and used one hand to start the chainsaw and cut some limbs while hanging on with one hand! Grandpa was very proud that Orin was in the tree business!
I missed seeing Orin, Vickie and their siblings after our grandparents passed away as we so close growing up. Even though I did not see Orin recently, I thought of him quite often and miss him even more with his passing.
Before I close, this by far is the most signings of a guestbook I have ever saw, a tribute to Orin and to how much he meant to everyone around him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you.

Orin, was a friend that will be greatly missed !
Our hearts are heavy from the loss of a kind and fun soul that brightened the lives of many. Orin was a selfless man who put his children and friends above all else. Whether at the farm, at a restaurant or jut in the general public he spread humor and candor to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with the boys, family and friends that share the grief of his departure to a reunion with his Maker.
He will be missed dearly!
Orin was my tree man. He always had pictures of his family and his Belgium draft horses in the side pocket of whatever vehicle he was driving. His excitement over and about knots reminded me I needed to teach my kids about knots. He was laughing and joking and telling stories but when it came to work he flipped 180 degrees to the most serious, non-joking, running-the-show guy. He said once that he'd rather move limbs over a glass roof than electrical wires which how it said it was hilarious. He loved his work and was proud of his family's history with it, it seemed. I loved hearing his stories. The last time I saw Orin was 4-5 months ago. He was seeing a neighbor's lightning struck tree, and I was outside. He stopped and we talked for 10-15 minutes and then we hugged goodbye. I am so glad we hugged. He was a gentleman, a comedian, an amazing all-around tree man, and a lover of life. I will miss him!
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!
Orin you were a True Friend and will Greatly be missed! RIP Buddy

We are so sorry of the sudden passing of the Dear sweet Orin. He always had a smile and time to stop and talk and brighten your day. Karson and Nevaeh would always run to give him a big hug and of course he always had to buy them ice cream or candy. I had been meaning to go spend the day at the farm And use my metal detector but something always came up. We are going to be praying for all of you. Orin will definitely be missed by all of us. Jeff, Pam, Nevaeh and Karson

Orin loved to tease my husband, Bob. My favorite story was when we we standing in line at Bobby’s Cafe. Orin came up behind Bob and goosed him. Bob didn’t see who was behind him and took a step forward. Orin did it again. After the third time, Bob turned around so irritated and saw it was Orin. If I heard that story once, I heard it 10 times. He just loved that he got Bob’s goat.
You will truly be missed my friend. Until we see you again.
He was 1 in a million. He will be missed by many! Prayers for the family.
May Orin rest in peace and Prayers to his Family ðŸ™
Prayers to all family & friends, it just dont seem possible but I know Heaven will be a great reunion. Lots of childhood memories but one I will never forget is the day Dad & Orin had been logging with GrayBoy & he got loose & ran up the road. Dad managed to cut him off with the truck & Orin told me GrayBoy couldn't stop so just jumped in the back of the pickup & then stood laughing at my expression. Orin always had a great story to tell...he lived life to the fullest! JOHN 10:10
He was a good man to be around and he will give you his shirt off his back and he will be missed you could not go anywhere in Mayflower or Conway or Maumelle not seeing him you will run into him anywhere
Orin, I will miss you horribly!!! You are the only one person that I would let pronounce my name "Zumba" :-) Everytime you called for a delivery they knew immediately who it was. I will miss bringing you your deliveries and you complaining that it took over an hour when it was there in 30 minutes:-) I have enjoyed our conversations over the past 8 years, and I along with everyone else at Boudreaux's will miss you!! You definitely are one of a kind!!! Until I see you again my friend, love Zumba!!!
Orin, you lit up any room you walked in. Whether it was the living room, or the bar room listening to the gamblers play, that’s where I met you. You were one of a kind. A genuinely beautiful human being inside and out. I’m honored to have known you. Till we meet again sir.

We were so sorry to hear of Orin’s passing. His son, Eric, was one of RD’s students at Jacksonville HS. We know father and son are now back together.
Terry has some of the best stories of all of the shenanigans that they got into together. He was telling some of them last night and we all had a good laugh and I'm sure Orin would have loved to hear them told. Sending prayers to all of the family and friends. Orin touched many lives and will live on in all our hearts 💗.
