of Benton, AR
October 25, 1945 - November 18, 2020
Walter ''Mack'' McCall, 75, of Benton, passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. He was born October 25, 1945 in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Mack was a man full of zest and ambition for anything he did. His love for athletics was apparent throughout his life, as he spent 25 years officiating high school football games and was a Lifetime Member of the Arkansas Activities Association. He also coached American Legion Baseball, was an avid Yankee fan, and enjoyed playing golf. Being a member of the Gnat Trail Hunting Club, Mack also dedicated his time to deer and duck hunting. He spent 15 years of his life working for Reynolds, and an additional 30-plus years with the Landers/Campbell Auto Group. He was a devoted Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Benton. Above all, Mack was a family man who was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, never counting it a commonality to attend anything his grandchildren were involved in, but a treasured time. He will be missed but his memory will be cherished and his legacy will continue on through those who loved and cared for him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Nina Forsyth and Jack McCall.
Mack is survived by his wife, Kay McCall; his daughters, Jennifer Kelly and her husband, Jasen, and Melissa Van Cleave and her husband, Danny; grandchildren, Thomas and Ray Cross, Eli and Colt Kelly, Aaron, Maddox Tyler, and Abby Van Cleave; sisters, Judy Davenport and Sharon Warren; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Debbie Scott, and many other extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 21, 2020, 3:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Benton, 211 S. Market St., Benton.
The family requests memorials be made in Mack's name to the First Baptist Church of Benton Preschool Ministries, 211 S. Market St., Benton, Arkansas 72015.
My heart goes to the family of Mac, who I really admired for his service to God, Family, and the Community. God Bless
Mack was a great man. Honored to have known him.
What a classy charming guy! Known Mack since I was a kid playing ball.....he was all about ball. He always encouraged me and then later in life encouraged my daughter Kylie. Certainly will miss him! My prayers are with the family.
We will miss you greatly, Mack.
I have lots of fun memories of Mack. He was one of a kind we played in the men's softball league together and worked at Reynolds Metal co. back in the day. He was quite the talker and story teller Landers Dodge dealership will never be the same without his presence. RIP my friend.
Kay and family:
We are so sorry to hear of Mac's passing. We remember him as a man full of life and always a lot of fun.
Please accept our deepest condolences. May God bless you and your family.

Mack, will be missed dearly. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell.
To Macks loving family.. it was definitely a heartfelt sadness to hear about his passing. Having known him for more than three decades and getting to hunt with him it was definitely a blessing to call him a friend and mentor. I believe one of his legacies will be making everyone that met him feel special. My family and I are praying for you all.
One of my best friends, ever. You will be missed by all but we were lucky to have the time with you we enjoyed. See you again.
Mack was a very good man, and he will be missed. My memories of Mack are numerous, but all of them involve laughter. My sympathies to the Family for your loss.
Kay, Melissa and Jennifer,
We were able to watch the memorial service online today and I will say .... it was the perfect tribute to Mack! He was such a fun guy and ALWAYS had a smile and a hug for everyone. I especially loved the part where Rick was describing all the guy things Mack enjoyed .... and God gave hims GIRLS! Made me smile to think about how much he loved his girls! Mike and I have many great memories with him working in the youth department at First Baptist that we will always treasure. âœï¸ And we can't leave out our car buying experiences.... they are great memories too! He will be missed! Love you all! ðŸ™ðŸ»

Mack was a gem. Always kept me laughing. I'm saddened by his passing I can't imagine the pain Kay, Melissa, and Jennifer feel. Many prayers for them.
He will be sorely missed. Prayers for all of the family. I knew Mack from the time I was in probably the third grade. One of my memories of him was going to a shoe store and helping me pick out some dress shoes. For some reason my Mom could not get away. What young man would do that kind of favor, I always wondered. He was always kind and loved his family. It was always such a pleasure to chat with him all these years. God bless his family. He will comfort them. Continuing in prayer

It's hard to imagine a world without Mack McCall in it. I've seen posts calling him ''one of a kind,'' and those are accurate. He worked to fit in with every group, always had a smile at the ready, and loved a good story, whether listening or telling. Mack loved his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and was always willing to work in any position at church when needed. He was always willing to do the little things, like getting coffee for Mrs. Evelyn Dixon every Sunday morning. I think that's how I'll remember him, walking through the church foyer with a Styrofoam cup of coffee for Mrs.Dixon. RIP!
Mack was one of the very best people I've been around. He brightened everyone's day he came in contact with. Prayers for healing for his loving family.
Mack was truly a good person with a quick Witt. Sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.

We are so sorry for your loss. I am praying the Holy Spirit will fill you with peace and comfort.
Kay and family, our prayers go out for you at this time. I I have known Mack for many years, as young adults, working at Reynolds and buying cars from him at Landers. He was a good honest man and a good friend. I know he will be missed. I also believe that he prepared for this time and has just gone on before us to his heavenly reward. May God bless one of you during this time as you grieve his passing.
Mack was one of a kind!! So sorry for your loss. He would always give the best hugs when I would come to see my dad at Landers!! Prayers for the entire family!!!
Mack was one of a kind. Will be greatly missed. You never had to guess where he stood. He was a friend to all, and always will be a friend of mine...

I am so sorry for your loss. I always appreciated the way Mack encouraged my granddaughter , Kylie, in her golf game. He seemed to always be at Longhills on junior golf day and always had a smile on his face. I know you will miss him terribly but thank God for good memories.

The McCall family has always been very special to our family. Many ballgames attended, church events shared and other life events experienced together. Mack was an encourager and a true family man. He will be missed. Praying grace & mercy for all.
We are praying for you all! Mack always had a smile and made us laugh. He will be missed on this side.
Much love to you all.
We loved Mack very much. Wish we could have spent more time together, but the times we visited, from California, it felt like there was no time in between visits. Our grandchildren met him in 2010, when we arranged for our whole family to fly to Arkansas for a visit. Best trip we've ever taken. The kids loved Mack. He always made us feel so welcome! He will be greatly missed! Praying for all the family!! We love you!
Mack belongs in that group of deer hunters who knew who ''by crackie'' was.
That made him special to us. If memory serves, we were always smiling around him.
Thanks.
So sorry. Mack was one of a kind!
May the peace of Christ rest with you
Mack will be greatly missed.
We are so sorry for your loss.

We wish our deepest sympathies for your loss. Mack was one of a kind! We met Mack many years ago as our salesman at Landers. After meeting him, he became the only person we would deal with. He always had some kind of story to tell you and we always felt like family. He will be deeply missed and Benton lost one great soul. Go fly high Mack!!!!
Prayers for all the family. Mack was an awesome man. Smiling and upbeat every time I saw him. He encouraged my girls and was interested in their sports activity. He helped us out on several cars. Such a Godly man. He will be missed.

I'm sorry to hear about Mack. He was always quick to laugh. He was a good man.
We were so sad to hear about Mack. I got to know him through working at Landers years ago and we became friends and have continued to keep in touch over the years. We got to see him within the last couple months when I went by Landers to visit and I am so grateful I got to see him. Myself and my family all thought so much of him. We are praying for all of the family.
Kay, Melissa & Jennifer, My heart goes to you all. I always enjoyed hearing Mac's stories. Hugs and prayers!
My sympathies go out to the Family. You will be dearly missedðŸ™ðŸ»
You will be missed greatly!
Mack and I worked at Reynolds together for 10 yrs., but when the plant closed we still stayed in contact. Mack just lives right around the corner from me and each time he would drive by the house he would honk and wave. When Mack found out I had several heart surgeries due to Agent Orange he would come by occasionally and check on me. I called a couple of days ago, because I hadn't seen or spoke to him and we talked quite a while. I was totally shocked to hear of his passing. When I saw him at Landers, Longhills or where ever, he always made me laugh. Mack was a good man and I'm sure he has left a great legacy for his family. I didn't know Kay and the girls, but I know this is hard for them to go through and I want to extend my deepest sympathies to them. The world was a better place for Mack having been here.
Kay, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember how he always had a good story that he loved to share. Know your heart is broken. Prayers for you and your family.
Dear Kay, I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with my dear cousin Mack when we were little boys in Memphis. We all cherish getting together with you and Mack at the cousins reunion. Our hearts are breaking for your loss and ours. God bless your family.
