Mary Virginia Smith, 94, of Marion, Arkansas passed from this life into her Heavenly reward on November 17, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her loving spouse, Calvin Palmer Smith; her father, Virgil Austin Smith; her mother, Mary Kathleen Smith and her brother and sister, Bill Smith (Bonnie) and Betty Baldrige (Harry).
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patricia Jane Smith and her sons, Calvin Eugene Smith and Rickey Dale Smith.
Virginia loved the Lord and her church. She made the best Italian Cream Cake in the world. She always had a ''can do'' attitude.
She was such an independent lady with an infectious smile who was always there to provide love and encouragement to others.
Her nursing home aide said she was her go to person when she needed help with family situations. She was loved by all the staff because of her politeness. She was always faithful to her church. Even when she had to use a walker and then a wheelchair, she was in ''her spot.''
She enjoyed traveling the USA and judging the Memphis In May Barbecue Fest.
She was an avid member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
She was a dear lady and friend and she will be missed by all who were blessed to have her in their lives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church of West Memphis, Arkansas.
Interment will follow at Lawrence Cemetery in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the local Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet is recommended for outdoor services and all funeral attendees are requested to wear masks.

Your mom was such a very gracious and beautiful lady. We're glad that we had several occasions to be with her, because you were thoughtful to bring her. You and your brothers were so fortunate to have had your precious mother for her 92 years. Yes, she will be terribly missed because you were a part of her physically and emotionally. Cherish her loving memories that will be with you, always.
Ms Virginia was a beautiful, sweet lady that will be missed. She always had tasty treats when we were growing up. We had great times as kids our mom's always keeping us straight. Mind your manners, don't talk back. I think they did a great job. We turned out fine, thanks to our mom's. Thanks Ms Virginia â¤â¤â¤

I worked with Ms. Virginia at Dr. Hodges office. I was very fond of her and enjoyed working with her.

Trish so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I lost my Mom in April & it is not easy. But just remember she is pain free & in a much better place.
