Eunice Kay Hess, age 71 of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, November 8th, 2020 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home. She was born in McCrory, Arkansas on November 18th, 1948 to Eunice Campbell and Lela Francis Simms Campbell.

Kay retired from North Arkansas Glass after 17 years of service as the office bookkeeper. Before that she served as office manager at Steve's Electric for 9 years while living in Haines City, Florida. In her earlier years she worked at various jobs, including a 2 year period as a cross-country semi-truck driver. Kay loved to read mysteries and work crosswords. She was a life-long learner who held several certifications in bookkeeping. She also obtained a securities license, an insurance license and completed classes as a journeyman electrician. She thought it was very important to always keep learning.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Richard Hess of the home; sons, Jason Cole (Kimberly Wells) of Mountain Home, Justin Hunt (Anissa) of Punta Gorda, FL, Wayne Hess (Stephanie) of Nacogdoches, TX, Adam Hess (Laci) of Mountain Home; daughter, Jerri Lynn Huntt (Phillip) of Polk City, FL; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona Ward of Marshall; and many other extended family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Graveside services for Kay will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 at Canaan Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Hunt, Heath Easley, Phillip Huntt, Jason Cole, Wayne Hess and Mark Hess. In lieu of flowers at the family's request donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.

Our condolences and prayers are with Kay's family. I first met Kay in 1996, when her son Justin and my daughter Anissa, got together. Kay was a sweet lady, who loved her family. She will be missed, by all that knew her.
