Jerry Henderson Sr. passed away at his home on Friday, October 30, 2020. He was surrounded by his children, wife, great grandkids and nieces. Jerry was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He was the guy you went to if you needed help with anything.

Jerry coached his sons in football throughout their lives into adulthood as a semi pro football coach for the Coyotes. Jerry was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to be outdoors with his family and spent a lot of his time with Dean Caviness hunting and fishing. He was an amazing man.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mildred Henderson; his first wife, Sherry Henderson; siblings: Viva Lewis, Charles Henderson, James Henderson, Mary Nalley, Carl Dean and a step son Garrett Dean.

He is survived by his wife Melveta Henderson; children: Richard Henderson, Jay Henderson, Stephanie Henderson and Dustin Dean; grandkids: Jessica and Darren Stetler, Zach and Sadie Henderson, Jaimie Henderson, Sarah Henderson, Kevin Henderson, Katie Blackman, Kamryn Smith, Abigail Dean and Eli Dean; great grandkids: Logan, Elizabeth, Waylon and Zayden; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. You will be missed and loved very much.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Locust Cemetery with Bro. Brent Fisk and Bro. Ron England officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rich, Jay, Dustin, Dean, Darren, and Willie.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Bubb, Eli, Zach, Kevin, and Ron.


Because of our concern for our community and the families we serve, we at Roller-Burns Funeral Home are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and are encouraging everyone to practice social distancing and wear masks at all times.

Jerry was a great guy and I will miss him dearly. I will always remember how he would make us laugh with his stories and playing his guitar and singing funny short songs. I have so many great memories of times with Sherry and Jerry through the years. He will always have a special place in my heart as I loved him dearly.
