I just heard the news about Todd's passing. My time in Little Rock was enriched by my association with Todd and all the members of the team. He was, more than a consultant, a friend who was loyal and was never hesitant to tell it like it is. My condolences to all; I am crushed.

Melanie, so very sorry about your loss. You are in my prayers. Connie

Melanie,
It is with sadness and a heavy heart that I hear of Todd's passing.
I first met Todd in late 1995. At the time I had accepted the challenge of building 450 towers to launch Powertel in the southeastern U.S. And by the way we had to do this within 9 months!
As I began the process of building a team of "winners" to accomplish this task (having been constantly told that it could not be done...) I immediately began looking for an attorney to assist me with this process.
My requirements were that our attorney must have the following attributes:
1) Meet all legal education standards
2) Understand Wireless Tower Construction
3) Be an expert in FCC, FAA, EPA etc... requirements
4) Honest, hard working, and with a "never give up" mentality
5) Have the best reputation in the industry
I, along with the others on my team, began the process of asking around the industry if such an individual existed. The ONLY name that got my attention was Todd Lewellen. And by the way it didn't hurt that he was also an engineer.... and a "handsome, southern gentleman!'
I called Todd and offered him the challenge. He accepted!
The end result was that we launched Powertel PCS in 1996! And, by the way we did it in 9 MONTHS!
Todd was a trusted friend and confidant.
I have lost loved ones but never a friend like Todd.
I grieve with you and Todd's family. I will always remember Todd!
Harold

Another MHS '79 classmate here. Wanted to express my sincere condolences to the family for the loss of a fine man. All of you know him as this regal, straight-laced individual. NAWWWW......that wasn't the Todd we remember!!.....we remember the quirky, crazy days of high school when him and his buddies did things that made you say, "now why didn't I think of that" That was the fun part of Todd that I'll always remember. Rest on, my friend. Make 'em all laugh in heaven.

Melanie and Courtney , we are sad to hear of your sudden loss. May God be with you.

Melanie Lewellan is our niece so of course Todd and Melanie attended our 50th anniversary party last year. As in all other times we attended the same gatherings, Todd was a quiet gentleman usually standing to one side. But we had become friends and I knew of his unusual running hobby and engaged him to talk about it to a group of other friends who had not met him. He was fascinating and animated and revealed so much of his love for the sport and the strength of his character. Todd was a rare person of quiet determination and grace. I will surely miss him and will always regret we didn't have more time to become better friends. Rest in piece to a fine man.

Melanie, I'm so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and the rest of Todd's family.

It was an honor and a great privilege to be Todd's running coach. We shared many thoughts on stoicism, mindfulness, and perspectives on living life well. He helped me as much or more than I helped him. What a wonderful person.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.🙏

Melanie I am so sorry to read of Todds passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you! May God surround you with his Spirit and with the love and comfort of your family. Hugs for you!
