James Roland Perkey, 73 of Batesville passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
He was born October 21, 1946 in Batesville, Arkansas to Audie Willene (Perkey) Ray. He was raised in Sidney, Arkansas by Tom and Ethel Sharp.
Roland had a great love for biking, taking daily rides up to 20 miles.
Survivors include his two brothers, Wayne Ray and Jimmy Ray both of Cave City; and one sister, Joanne Seat (Robert) of Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and his uncle and aunt, Tom and Ethel Sharp.
Graveside Services will begin at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Eutopia Cemetery in Cave City under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Jon Moore officiating.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines; All attendees must provide and wear their own masks and social distancing will be observed.

So sorry for your loss! I remember him riding his bike behind our school bus. I couldn't understand why he didnt go with us! So glad things have changed for kids today! He is part of our past and he will not be forgotten. He was raised by two of the best people ever!

He was my resident for over 4 years and I was his Nurse he filled my heart with gladness as well with sadness at times . I will miss him dearly fly high and keep that zoom zoom going in heaven .Till we meet again.
