Arvle Cole Sample, 84, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
He was born on August 8, 1936 in Floral, Arkansas to Bill and Ella Sample.
Cole was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, watching Westerns, short distance travel and listening to music.
Survivors include his three sons, Joey Sample (Kim) of Batesville, Phil Sample of Batesville and Ed McClusky (Yvonne) of Pine Bluff; and two daughters, Patricia Waters (Lloyd) of Bradford and Manda McGough (Pat) of Pleasant Plains; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Maureen of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Johnnie Beth (Lee) Sample; 2nd wife, Viola (Brown) Sample; and grandson, Billy Joe Sample.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Scantlin Cemetery in Bradford, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Craig Wilson officiating.
Memorials may be made to Paragould Children's Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450.

So sorry to hear of Cole's passing. We lived just down the road from them. My brother, Buddy Burress, was one of Cole's best friends when we were in school. I'm Ina Ruth, the youngest of Buddy's sister. My mother, Helen, and I used to walk up the hill to visit Mrs. Sample. Prayers for peace and comfort for the family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of this kind man. he was my mechanic from way back. until he retired and his son Joey and his son is my main mechanics still . thay have always treated me right and i will always remember Mr. Sample ......
