I just learned of cousin John Ed’s death. His mother Louise was the older sister of my father, John D Oliver Jr. I am so sorry to hear that he passed away. I fondly remember happy times of visiting the family in Hot Springs, Arkansas when I was a child. John Ed was 10 years older than me & I was always quite impressed with his good looks and his ability as a drummer!
Sylvia and sons: I'm sad to learn John Ed died, but I'm sadder that we have lost touch and I didn't even know until last night, way too long past his death to learn. Family should be better than that. My mother and daddy would be appalled at our behavior. They loved you so much and shame on us cousins for not staying in touch. I didn't realize you were living in Jonesboro. Guess no Darnells are in the Helena/West Helena area anymore The passing of an era.
Hope you are well, and would love to hear from you some time. I entered my email address above, so hope you will get it.
God bless you all.
Sylvia, May God's love carry you through this time of sadness , and bring you peace and comfort in the days to come.
