Richard ''Poppie'' Majewski, 74, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Waters in Mountain View, Arkansas. Richard was born on December 15, 1945 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Stanley and Jean (Kudla) Majewski. Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a steel worker, security guard, and a motel owner, however, his most rewarding job was a loving husband, father, poppie, brother, and friend. He was lovingly referred to as ''Doc'' due to his gentle, kind, and loving nature. He was an artist and loved to paint and draw and will be greatly missed by all of his loving family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Richard was a member of Timbo Valley Assembly of God and lovingly served his Lord in all that he did.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 26 years, Penny (Bisbee) Majewski; son, Zachary Majewski; daughters, Athena Ballinger Bays and Jennifer Strine; step-sons, Steve Hibshman, Robert Densmore, and James Hibshman; step-daughter, Susan Lawrence; eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, along with many extended family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jean (Kudla) Majewski; brothers, Stanley Majewski, Jr. and Jerry Majewski; sisters, Shirley Rosinski and Elaine Majewski at a very early age.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date when it is safe for everyone to gather.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
