James Allen Peel Sr., 88, of Batesville died October 20, 2020.

He was born August 22, 1932 in Desha, Arkansas to Cecil and Marsden (Mills) Peel.

He was a mason who enjoyed playing poker, hunting, and fishing. James proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include two sons, James Peel Jr. and Tom (Toni) Peel; four grandchildren, Rani, Brian, Soni, Lindsay, and five great-grandchildren, Austin, Dallas, Chance, Delyla, and Chase.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; one son, Mark Peel, and his sister, LaVerne Seymore.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at 10:00am at Alderbrook Cemetery with Randy Seale officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering and social distancing will be observed.
