of Searcy, AR
August 6, 1939 - October 20, 2020
Margarette A. Rayburn, 81, of Searcy passed away October 20, 2020. She was born August 6, 1939 in Alldridge, AL to the late Hugh and Lena McElroy. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Margarette was a homemaker and a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Searcy. After she was unable to attend church, she loved to watch ''Cowboy Church'' on TV and was very faithful in doing so. The one thing that was most important to her was her family which was more evident when she became a mother and especially a grandmother. She never missed a basketball or baseball game when she knew Todd and Katie were playing and she always knew. She would sit out in the heat of the day just to see her grandchildren play ball. She also enjoyed Branson trips but was always ready to come home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Rayburn; one son, Michael L (Tanya) Rayburn; two grandchildren, Todd (Stephanie) Rayburn and Katie Rayburn (Matt) Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Ava Grace and Ellie Kay Rayburn and Reese Taylor; one sister, Linda Duebnerd along with several nieces and nephews and host of other loving family members and friends.
Graveside Services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Walker Cemetery in the Walker Community at Griffithville, Arkansas.
