I met Aunt Bettye as a newlywed on my first visit to the Hill. She welcomed me to the Catt family with open arms and a generous 💜. I’ll never forget when she took me to her hairdresser for my first & only Beehive hairdo. It lasted all week including twice daily trips to the 🐓chicken 🥚houses! We bonded immediately over farm life, trips to town and shopping. Over the years when we returned to Ark from overseas, we always brought her coffee mugs from around the world 🌏. Aunt Bettye loved sweets 🍫 and had plenty on hand to offer in her country kitchen. I’ll always remember her deep love of family, Elvis and the Razorbacks. Rest In Peace dear Bettye and enjoy reuniting with your beloved Junior & Gary. When we meet again, I’ll let you take me to 💫 Heaven’s beauty shop for another Beehive ‘do’. Love you 💕& Miss you, Marge & Mike

I have no words, but only tears and many beautiful childhood memories; my heart breaks with missing our beautiful mamas, but only selfishly! They rest in His arms and will welcome us home someday! Love and peace to Bettye’s friends and Nana’s precious amazing family!

Mom,
All the things a mother does for her family could never be measured. You always shared your time even when you had so much to do. You shared your wisdom even when we didn’t listen. You brought joy to so many others because of your love and compassion. You inspired us to live fully and well. And anyone who knew Nana Catt knew she always lived her life in full color! You will always be loved and dearly missed mom.

What I remember most about my beautiful Aunt Bettye was listening to her my mom and her other sisters talking and laughing with each other like little girls. I will cherish those lovely memories for ever. Until we see each other again on those golden shores. Love you always My beautiful Aunty.

I was not around “Nana” but when I was she made me so welcome and she reminded me of my MaMaw who was my mom’s mother. Jeanine and your family was so lucky to have her as long as you did. She is home and there is no more pain!

Dearest Leigh Ann,

I send you my most heartfelt condolences. I know how much Nana meant to you and your entire family. What a beautiful legacy. After reading the lovely obituary above, I feel like I will never eat another Hershey bar without thinking about Nana and knowing it was her favorite :) But more importantly, I am touched by how much she was loved by all, and what a treasure for all of her grandchildren to be left with such dear and vivid memories of her.

We keep thinking of the morning we were a part of the car parade for the the nursing home. She was all wrapped up with her blanket and sign and waving to us with a big smile. Our thoughts are with all her family. RIP

I have so many wonderful memories of “Nana”. She was so loving and kind that even though she wasn’t my grandparent, it felt so natural to call her Nana. Anytime you saw her she greeted with a hug and a chat and if you were in her home, you were going to be fed, hungry or not. We would laugh with her until our sides would hurt. All my memories of her happy and I think almost everyone would say that. What a wonderful, beautiful person. How lucky we were to have known her.
