Ruby Mae Eubanks, 97, former resident of Clinton, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was born December 11, 1922 to the late Dewey Herbert and Edna Ann (Jennings) Eubanks, in Choctaw, Arkansas.
Ruby graduated from Clinton High School with honors. She then moved to California to attend Berkley University where she studied journalism. She had many prestigious jobs over the years, one in particular was at our nation's capital in Washington, D.C. She later returned to her hometown of Clinton, Arkansas where she was employed as a stenographer and typist for Van Buren County Democrat. She wrote a weekly article for the paper titled "It Occurs to Me."
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Billie June Evans Ward, two brothers-in-law; Ernest "Bud" Grice, Calvin Ward and a sister-in-law, Maxine Eubanks.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Dewey Eubanks, Jr. and wife Opal of Clinton, Arkansas, Reuben Eubanks of Sun City West, Arizona, one sister, Carolyn Grice of Cabot, Arkansas, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Ruby has an outing personality with a very beautiful smile. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
The family would like to give a special "Thank you" to all the nurses and staff for the wonderful care and loving kindness given to Ruby at Somerset Senior Living at Seven Springs Nursing and Rehab.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Huie Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas.
Family and friends may visit Mrs. Eubanks between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00pm, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Ruby will be greatly missed here at Somerset. She truly did have an amazing smile that would light up a room. It was an honor to even have a small part in her care.
