I am so sorry to hear about William. I had no idea he had passed. He said I was te ony person he would let get away with calling him Bill. I've known William more years than I can count. My dad was Max Smothermon and he worked on his ag planes pretty regularly. I worked there also. He was one in a million. His laughter and smile were contagious. It was almost funny when he got mad. It just didn't look right on him. I'm glad I wasn't memphis propeller tho when his new prop was the cause of a crash. I will always remember Bill with great fondness and smile when I do think of him.
So sorry for your loss... Woody and Cecelia were some of my dear friends from the BBQ World, were some of the first ones I met and were always there to help and make new ones welcome.
May you find peace and comfort.

So sorry to hear about the passing of William and his wife. Our mothers and fathers were very good friends when we were young and we had so much fun together. Although I never met Cecelia, I know she must have been the joy of his life.

So sorry for the Wood family and friend's loss. Woody's dedication and service to country and community is greatly appreciated. His and Cecelia's spirits can soar high and free together. Prayers and love.
Woody and Cecelia, I will miss you both for helping me when I needed a job and your care for me when I needed a counselor. Dad said to fly high Woody and he hopes there are airplanes in heaven. We miss BBQ days as yours was the best. See you soon wherever Jesus is, there you will be. Love, Eleica and WA

From Pat Wood Neal and Jennean MCutcheon....you are in our thoughts and prayers. Much love to all.
I graduated with William. We had such a good time in high school. About seven of us would load up in the front of his black pickup truck on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. We all had much more fun hanging out than dating! Of course, no seat belts, but we were so packed in that cab, I doubt we would have moved an inch if we'd been hit. Loved him.
We are praying for y’all we loved your mom an dad they will be missed
Thinking of you and your family
