They will truly be missed. So glad that I got to see them at the last alumni reunion. He and Lathea touched the lives of so many in their years of service at Cord Charlotte. I had the utmost respect for both of them. I have used geometry a lot in life, algebra not so much!!

Mr C was a great teacher who taught more than something out of a book. He taught respect, compassion and dignity for yourself and others. He always had a great story to tell and if you got him off on the right hunting story class might be over before he started teaching a thing, lol. What amazing memories of he and Mrs C. Deepest condolences to the family.

Mr. Carlile was an encyclopedia of both wit and wisdom. If you were one of his students, he assigned you a nickname.. Mine was ''Little OH'' as in Little Outhouse. Since I went by Jon. Years after I graduated, he'd know your nickname. Main reason I got a Math Degree from Lyon College after high school. The last year I was a math teacher at Calico Rock and losing my right foot; despite having a smart board available-I went with an overhead projector to show my geometry classes the problems worked out one by one~just as he had done for us. The B. stands for Bass and that might be one of the reasons he loved to fish so much despite not caring for pan fried up bass.. Crappie was his fish of choice if I remember correctly.. That and A=pi x r^2.

Mr. Dub was a man who thought of others. He would watch out for my brother, Robert Dale, during the time of Dale’s bad health. Dub would mow his yard and then move across the street to mow my brothers yard. He had a heart of gold. I’m sure he and Mrs.. Leatha had a grand reunion in heaven. My prayers are for God to comfort you and your family. John and Karla.

Mr C was my mathematics teacher at Charlotte and I spent several classes with him one being kinda a study hall where there was a lot of chess played and checkers. I remember he sponsoring classes and selling candy bars in his classes and he had a nick name for everyone. It was a game for the kids to get him to,tell story's instead of doing work. And sometime we won. I also remember we though we was getting off easy with 1 problem to,work but it took 2 pages to work out. But he never ever have homework on a Friday. He was one of a kind and I'll never forget "WB" even after school u could find him eating fish a pt Fred fish house. We all had a laugh he was the bionic man with all the replacement parts but it never changed his demeanor he was still Mr C. Him and Latha will both be deeply missed.
