Lonita Tate, 81, of Bono, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at her home. She was born August 30, 1939, in Bono, to Harry and Lily Puckett.
Mrs. Tate graduated from Bono High School and worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company and Sun Industries. She is a member of Bono Church of Christ. Lonita enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and shopping.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband of 52 years, Leo Tate; brothers, Donald Puckett, Ralph "Bo" Puckett and Douglas "Rouster" Puckett; sisters, Roberta Ware, Norma "Tiny" Wilson, Loveda Myatt and Gail Terry.
Survivors include a son, Jeffery T. Tate and wife, Peggy, of League City, Texas; nieces and nephews Kandi Myatt, Lisa Terry, Zeke Terry and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be graveside, 11:30am, at Trinity Cemetery, Tuesday, October 13, with Richard Akin officiating. Pallbearers include L.M. Duncan, Sam Sullivan, Raymond Covey, Gaylon Tate, Billy Ray Puckett and Zeke Terry. Honorary bearers are, Nick Tate, Randy Tate, Floyd Howard, Wayne Tate, Jim Bradley and Donnie Tate.
Mrs. Tate will lie in repose Tuesday from 8:00am - 10:00am at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00am - 11:00am.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Bono Church of Christ Food Pantry at 101 Craftsbury Lane, Bono, AR 72416.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance while observing social distancing guidelines. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.

So sorry . Lonita was our neighbor for years they were wonderful people. Have missed them around here for years. Saw her up at bono home and chatted it up. She's home now. Praying for closure for family.
