Wayne Rogers, 78, of Bono passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020. He was born November 25, 1941 in Caraway, Arkansas to Earl and Dicie Palmer Rogers. He was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Pontiac Motors after 18 years, but continued to work for Jonesboro Roofing, Inc. for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Earldean Slinkard and Nancy Rogers; and brothers, Harley, Lesley, Wesley, Gleen, and Melvin Rogers.
Left to cherish wonderful memories is his wife of 49 years, Euritha Holland Rogers; son, Brent Rogers; granddaughter, Saylor Rogers; brothers, Elvis (Betty) Rogers of Hardy, AR and J. W. Rogers of Silverwood, MI; and sister Shirley Bohr of Ortonville, MI.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, October 12, 2020 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Brother Chuck Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time with family present from 12 noon to 1:00 pm. Monday, October 12, 2020.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Scott Moore, Brandon Moore, Myles Pierce, Paul Greenway, Carl Moore, and Jeff Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Nutt, Brian Ford, Cogan Ford, McKenzie Pierce, Kevin Pierce, Larry Thompson, Andrew Rogers, Jimmy Bailey, and Jim McCoy.
In lieu of flowers family has requested lasting memorials be made to the Trinity Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 429, Bono, AR 72416.
Wayne was such a good man and a wonderful example of Christianity and devotion to the Lord. He was ever present with a warm smile and a strong handshake as he greeted those attending church. His presence on this earth will be missed but I’m sure he has been restored to perfect health and is rejoicing in Heaven. “Well done, thy good and faithful servantâ€.

Euritha my prayers are for you, Wayne was a wonderful and supportive husband, to you and I know the future can be difficult for you, but realize you have family, cousins, and friends close by willing to help you in any way you need us. Feel free to call or visit, I remember you and Marie coming to the pharmacy to see me and you and Arleta visiting my Boutique, it meant more than you realize. Wayne will still look over you. Mr.Wayne was a good man. He would always share his thoughts with you. You better not park in his parking spot ;)
He'll sure be missed. A memory that I'll not forget is at the shop if you get the last cup of coffee you best make another pot, cause Mr. Wayne would sure tell you to do so. There are many more stories that could be shared.
We will sure miss Mr. Wayne.

We were very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. We enjoyed worshipping with him and was always glad to see his smiling face as he greeted folks at the church door. He will certainly be missed. Our love and prayers go out to the family.
