Mary Ellen Temple, age 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at her home. She was born in Guion, Arkansas on July 15, 1937, to her late parents, Jess and Pearl Stevens Upton. Mary worked for Teletype Communications here in Little Rock for more than 23 years and was an active member of the Brady Homemakers Extension Club. In addition, she enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Temple; one daughter, Charlotte Brisco; one sister, Ima Jones and one brother, Shelby Upton. Survivors include her daughter, Shana Hardin (Gary) of Little Rock; one grandson, Garrett Hardin of Little Rock and one brother, Bob Upton of Texarkana, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.

Mary had become one of my dearest friends. She was a special lady with such a happy spirit. I will miss our phone calls during this pandemic and the laughs we shared. She was generous and always had a positive outlook. Brady EHC has lost a valued member. May God Bless her.
