Roger Dale Lee

of Fox, AR

November 6, 1954 - October 4, 2020

Roger Dale Lee, 65, was born in Clinton, Arkansas to Lonnie and Neda (Bagley) Lee on November 6, 1954. He departed this life in his home on October 4, 2020. He married his high school sweetheart, Lanette, and they were married for 47 years. Following after his spirit for adventure, they traveled west to Colorado for a while where he cut logs. Later, they made their home in Fox, Arkansas where he spent his life working in the logging industry and they raised their four children. Roger was a strong worker, a dedicated husband, a loving father, and a partner in crime to his grandkids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses and telling stories about the past. He was a gifted storyteller who loved to make people laugh. Though he was good at many things, especially felling trees, he most enjoyed his role of being Papa to his eight grandchildren. He was a man with a tough exterior and a soft spirit. If he loved you, you never doubted it. He referred to death as the ''ultimate adventure'' and we have confidence that he is no longer in pain or suffering. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Lanette; his children, Allen (Christina) Lee, Marlena Lee, Freda (Chris) Barnett and Cory (Cindi) Lee; his grandchildren, Spencer and Keelie Barnett, Lonnie and Ty Hershberger, Chance Barnett, Caroline and Claire Lee; his brothers, Bobby and Richard Lee; his sisters, Kay Branscum, Janice Stubbs, Freda Wilson, Dandra Bowren and Tangie Callahan and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dustin Lee; his parents, Lonnie and Neda Lee and brother, Terry Lee.
Honorary pallbearers: Shane McElroy, Mike Stewart, Jim Beck, Joe Bernstein, Stanley Avey, Stanley Morrison, Benny Kocher and Justin Lee.
A memorial service will be held outdoors at the ball park in Fox on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 11 a.m.
There are bleachers to sit on but feel free to bring your own folding chairs to be better able to social distance.
