Danny P. Payne, 71, of Horseshoe Bend passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020.

He was born November 19, 1948 in Batesville, Arkansas to Sammie Payne and Vernice (Nelson) Payne.

Danny was of the Baptist faith; he loved his family and pets and was a hardworking, dedicated and very meticulous man. He was a truck driver for 34 years transporting Certified Grocers products. Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and ATV's; he loved being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Kristi (Coates) Payne; two daughters, Betty Ann Fitzsimmons (Robert) of Hickory Flat, Mississippi and Marie Uenuma (Maurice) of Naperville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Darrell Fizsimmons, Vivienne Uenuma and Bryce Uenuma; special friend, Jim Rusilowicz; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Payne; and two furbabies, Brandi and Laddie.

Pallbearers are Nikia Jacobs, Gary Coates, David Gene Payne, Maurice Uenuma, Rusty Humzeker and Robert Fitzsimmons.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Doc Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery in Bethesda.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, October 6, 2020 just prior to service at the funeral home.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering and social distancing will be observed.
