Charles ''Evert'' Smith of Mountain View, Arkansas, died October 1, 2020, at White River Medical Center due to COVID.

Evert was born to Earl and Mary (Craig) Smith August 17, 1937, in the old home of Hub Willis on Dodd Mountain.

He was a talented leather artisan and craftsman best known for his hand-tooled Western-style leather belts and wallets. He was also a woodcarver, rock hound, and even dabbled in painting.

Evert was proceeded in death by his parents; two sisters, Beatris Givens and Inis (WL) Green; his wife, Barbara (Hilty) Smith; daughter, Patricia Maureen Smith; and son, Simon Charles Smith.

He is survived by daughter, Amy (Rick) Lawrence; and three sons, Craig, Sam, and Dan Smith, all of Mountain View.

Graveside service was October 3, 2020, at Fredonia Cemetery in Richwoods.
