Marie G. McCain, 84, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Brookland on October 11, 1935 to Amos and Ollie Mae (Eason) Poynor. Marie was retired from the State of Arkansas Human Resources and was a member of the Brookland Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and loving on her children and grandchildren. Marie also loved working for the Lord in her church.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, E. J. McCain; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include; sons, David (Brenda) Poynor and Jim Poynor; daughters, Judi Andrews and Ann (Shane) Faulkner; grandchildren, Ashley Ward, Alex Poynor, Bailey Andrews and Taylor and Sydney Faulkner; great grandchildren, Sophie Ward, Caden Ward and Haven Andrews; one brother, Bob Poynor.
A memorial service will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Brookland Baptist Church with Rich Gartman officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service.
Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of services.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance while observing social distancing guidelines. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.

I will miss her so much she was my second mom. I spent 50% of my childhood with Judi and Ann I meet Judi in kindergarten. It breaks my heart I can’t be there do to health issues no I love y’all and if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call.
