I'm hoping Tina Wise, Deevonda Wise, Tiffany Wise, (who commented here) or other relative might let our PHS class of 1974 know where we might also find the obituary for our dear classmate Hardy Wise.

Rev. Doug's tributes reveal that he touched a lot of lives and Paris, Logan County (and the steel industry) has lost a great man, friend, neighbor, pastor...

May God bless the entire Wise family near and far through the memory, faith, and Bible teaching of Rev. Doug.

Doug was polite and quiet in the 12th grade at Paris High School. The next time I visited with him was when he came to my Dad’s (Tom Buck Johns) memorial service in March of 2016. We truly appreciated his coming and once again were impressed with his gentleness and kindness.

Actually, Andrew, Doug’s father was a part of my childhood when we would see him at the Paris Hardware.

We extend our sympathy at this time of great loss. These condolences clearly describe Doug’s character and his life. God bless you.

I had him as a sub for a long time and i remember every time that we had him, he would make all of us laugh, he would always make sure we were having fun while we were doing our work and the minute i heard he passed away i had to hold my tears back, then i got the word that Officer Haney also passed away, so i emailed my principal and asked him if we could do memorials at the school for them and he said that would be a great idea so i was wondering if there was anything yall think should go in it email me at lakin24@parisschools.org and tell me your ideas, and i cant wait to tell my future kids about the best substitute teacher in the world

Our deepest condolences to the Wise family during these times of grieving. Rev. Wise was a true man of God, always showing compassion and being able to crack a joke just at the right time. I’m sure that he would want us to celebrate his life for we know that God sees this as a celebration of His life. For the Bible says to us “My flesh and my heart fail: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭73:26‬. We know this to be true and we should hold it to our hearts. You all have such a beautiful and kind family. You are in our prayers daily and we are so sorry for this loss.

My condolences to the family and the loss of a great Man of God. On September 28th 2020 Heaven opened it's doors and Angels rejoiced as another servant of God entered in. He will be truly missed on earth by family and friends, but God had an appointed time for him. I was glad to know him and really enjoyed him everytime. My prayers for the family and everyone else that's grieving this hard loss. RIP Man of God
