Helen Delano Rice Parsons, 86, of Mountain View passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Magnolia Place Alzheimer's Special Care in Rogers, Arkansas.
Helen was born on June 16, 1934 at Alco, Arkansas to Oddis and Bertha (Ward) Rice. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Parsons, brother J.C. Rice, and grandson Craig Parsons.
Helen is survived by her four children; Roger Parsons (Virginia), Mark Parsons (Liz), Phyllis Gammill (Terry), all of Mountain View, and Randal Parsons (Roberta) of Bentonville, seven grandchildren; Jeremy Gammill (Emily), Tanner Parsons (Halley), James Parsons (Kelly), Kelsey Sutterfield (Aaron), Taylor Parsons, Dylan Parsons, Cole Lay, and three great-grandchildren.
Helen spent her entire life in Stone County. At a very young age she, like many others, began working. She helped her grandfather operate his Alco General Store. She helped with the cotton harvest, threshed wheat, and tended livestock on their Alco farm. After moving to Mountain View she met and married William Parsons. They built and operated the Mountain View Motel for forty-two years. After selling the motel she continued working for her son and son-in-law for several years, before retiring three years ago at the age of eighty-three. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain View.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Flatwoods Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Flatwoods Cemetery Fund.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

So sorry for the families loss, Helen was always a first class lady with her hair, wardrobe and makeup just perfect. She was always in good spirits and will be missed by everyone that knew her and called her friend
