Glenn Bernard Underwood, age 87 of Gilbert, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 at his home. He was born in Leachville, Arkansas on October 19th, 1932 to Hubert Jack Underwood and Mary Nixson Underwood.

Glenn was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in 1952. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years in the construction industry.

Survivors include his son, Emmett "Jay" Underwood of Gilbert; and his sister, Patsy Underwood Carnahan of St. Joe.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Mary Underwood; his wife, Carol Jean Underwood who passed away in 2018; two children, Clifford K. Underwood and Glenna Kathleen Underwood Whitlock; and siblings, Darrell Lemonds, Norman Underwood and Sue Adcock.

Emmett would like to offer a special thank you to the Moore girls, Ben Fruehauf, Benjamin Fruehauf and Caroline Fruehauf for all their kindness and assistance during this trying time.

Cremation services are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Sorry to hear of Glenn's passing. He was a very talented man.... as my dad would say, he was a man of many functions. Glenn worked hard, and I recall his willingness to be of help whenever needed.
