Ona Jackson, 66, of Newark died on September 23, 2020.
Born May 29, 1954 to Ruby and Ulis Branscum. Survivors include her two sons, Lance Moss of Newark and Aaron (Melissa) Moss of Sulphur Rock; daughter, Saundra (Shawn) Ruddell of Newark; three brothers, Ted Branscum of Newark, Shelby Branscum of Gainsboro, and Craig (Patsy) Branscum of Gainsboro; seven grandchildren, Austin and Ashlyn Moss of Louisiana, Trent Moss of Batesville, Brianna Moss and Blake Moss of Sulphur Rock, Dani Armstrong of Batesville, and Ryver Ruddell of Newark; Jack, her ole yellow cat; her best friend, Lecia (Rick) Holcombe; a host of other beloved friends and co-workers of Cedar Ridge School District.
She was preceded in death by her beautiful parents; three sisters, Ula Mae Branscum, Beulah Branscum, and Ethelene Looney and her husband, Troy ''Buster'' Looney; two brothers and their wives, Glen and Ina Branscum, Afton ''Duke'' and Eileen Branscum; her first husband and father of her sons, Larry Wayne Moss; and the love of her life, Dan Jackson.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Rev. Danny Rogers officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, September 25, 2020 at the funeral home.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering and social distancing will be observed.

Ona was a precious soul and such a sweet person to work with at Cedar Ridge Schools. Always wanting to help and such a good mother. May God Bless all of her family and comfort you in the days to come.
