of Marshall, AR
April 23, 1965 - September 21, 2020
Phillip Carl Clark, age 55 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, September 21st, 2020 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on April 23rd, 1965 to Lee Clark and Delores Duncan Clark.
Phillip wore many hats: Husband, Father, Pop Pop, Son, Brother, Pastor, Chef, Coach, Singer, Razorback Fan, and Friend. His joy was contagious and genuine, and everyone knew that he loved Jesus more than anything. He often gushed over the beauty of his bride, Natalie, and their favorite memories include family outings to Silver Dollar City, singing together, going on cruises, going to yard sales, watching their kids play sports, and being grandparents. His greatest joy in life came from his kids and grandkids, and everyone knew how proud he was of them. He was a very well-loved, selfless Pastor at Marshall Assembly of God for 24 years, where he regularly planned Missions Trips, Fish Fries, Chili Cook Offs, Fall Festivals, Christmas Plays, and other numerous events for his church family and community. He was always good for a joke, coming up with a nickname, or making up a funny song. He learned how to cook from his Momma and how to preach from his Dad. He left a legacy that we should all strive for, and we have comfort in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Natalie Schultz Clark of the home; son, Cody Clark and wife Valerie of Mountain Home; daughter, Kayla Moffitt and husband Jerad of Gassville; grandchildren, Camden and Alivia Clark of Mountain Home; his parents, Lee and Delores Clark of Mountain View; brothers, Wendell Clark and wife Pam of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Timothy Clark and wife Dorothy of Bismarck; mother-in-law, Ruthie Martin; father-in-law, Don Schultz and wife Frances; sister-in-law, Anita Martin; brother-in-law, Robert and wife Stacey Barnhart; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and his MAG Church family.
Phillip is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Howard Martin; brother-in-law, Troy Schultz; brother-in-law, Richard Barnhart; and sister-in-law, Tammy Martin.
A Celebration of Phillip's life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at the Marshall Assembly of God parking lot with David Owens, Greg Roberson, Sam Horton and Terry Miller officiating. Please bring chairs and please social distance as best as possible. Parking will not be permitted at the front and on the parsonage side of the church. Parking is available on the street side of the church. Additional parking will be available at Marshall High School, Kenda Drive-In and along the street. Bearers will be Wendell Clark, David Owens, Greg Roberson, Terry Miller, John Richmond and David Branscum. Honorary bearers will be Camden Clark, Tim Clark and the Marshall Assembly of God Deacons: Larry Clingings, Bill Jackson, Randy McCallister and Bentley Massey.

Great preacher, friend, father and grandpa! I loved listening to his sermons, he was a great person to be around, always smiling, always laughing and making sure everyone had everything they needed! I grew up going to church at Marshall Assembly of God with my parents and my sister, Sunday school and the Youth group. I’m glad I got to be a part of the whole church!
Natalie,
I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for the comfort and peace that only our Lord can be. Our community has lost a wonderful man who touched lives that he never knew he touched... God bless you and your family with His gracious mercy.

We are sorry for your loss. I met Brother Clark a few times and know he will be missed by all. He seemed like a really nice person. Prayers for all your family.
Dear Natalie and Family -- So very very sorry for your loss of Phillip. Sounds like he was quiet a guy and dedicated father, grandfather and husband. I have met Phllip years ago at Adams-Clark family events but those were years ago. My mother, Jessie Lee Adams, was Lee's Aunt and she loved visiting Arkansas anytime we could when I was growing up at home in Iola, KS. Will always remember my dear Aunt Earnesteen Clark and Uncle JB along with all of Lee's siblings. We wish you all the very best of luck during these hard times. Life is unfortunately so unfair at times and we never understand why at the time. Good luck to all of you and Hang Tough!!!

Continued thoughts and prayers for Bro. Clark’s family. Bro. Clark will always hold a special place in our hearts from the impact he made in all of our lives. My precious momma thought of him as one of her own kids and loved Bro. Clark so much. He supported my momma and our family through her illnesses and during our last days with her. I could never thank him enough for his encouraging words and heartfelt prayers during that time. Over the years that Bro. Clark has served the Marshall Assembly of God Church and the community, it is so apparent that he was a man of God, and God used him to bless many lives. Thank you Bro. Clark for being such a blessing!

What a great loss for our community. Bro. Clark you will be missed. Heaven gained another angel.
Nat, Kayla, Jerad, Cody, and family...thank you for sharing him and letting him be an older brother to me. I've never had to worry if I was cared about. There weren't days the phone went silent or the roads went cold to what one didn't call and ask "Hey you need to make a run to Clinton or Harrison" or "Hey you hungry I'm thinking Chinese" Or I'd get a call or text "Hey we need to learn this song by Sunday. I wanna to use it before or after my sermon." I won't even go into the times he's been there in the hospital, nursing home and funeral home with me. I absolutely loved him and I love y'all and am praying for y'all night and day.
Prayers for you and your family! Phillip was loved by many and knew by all. We will forever be missed.

I loved Bro. Clark like a brother. He was a very dear friend. He was always there for our family when we needed support. Many hospital visits, many home visits, and just being there in our time of need. I have spent many countless hours working beside him while building our church and many other projects that needed to be done. He dedicated his life to his church and his community, but he also was dedicated to and loved his family. To the family I want to say that we are hurting along with you and are praying for peace and comfort. Love you all.
My thoughts and Prayers to your family and your church family.
Dear Clark family:
Please know that our prayers are going up for you. We cannot be there in person because of previous commitments but we will be with you in prayers and in spirit. I know that we will never fully understand this world and the stuff that happens to us. I have to put my trust in Him who knows about this and is bringing some kind of peace and comfort for your family.

I am stunned and saddened by Brother Clark's passing. Although I did not know him that well, the times I was with him, I was inspired by his caring for those around him. He spent a lot of time with my mother when she was ill For that I will always be thankful, Brother Clark was a true man of God and I am praying for his family. Thank you brother Clark for your service to the Kingdom.
May God's peace comfort and keep you at this time. Prayers for you all.
We have prayed and cried with you. Bro Clark was a true servant of God. His willingness to cook for everyone is something I respect highly. He will be very sorely missed. He was a godly leader in our little town; always had a smile and a kind word. Truly one of God’s beloved kids. At home now with Abba. May God fill the gaping hole in your hearts with His peace that passes understanding. Our thoughts and prayers continue with you all, especially Natalie.
