Ernestine ''Tina'' Head went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2020. She was born on November 18, 1948 in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Ernest and Lois Sivils.
Tina was a graduate of Alma Arkansas High School and the University of Arkansas with a degree in Education. She was the first member in her family to earn a college degree. Tina was a member of Fellowship Bible Church and Community Bible Study. After retirement from teaching, she became a member of the Arkansas Children's Hospital Auxiliary and did volunteer work at the hospital.
Tina loved children. She taught elementary school in inner city schools in Louisiana and was committed to make a difference for economically and socially disadvantaged children. She had great love for her grandchildren, her son and her daughter-in-law. She shared great joy with them and her husband. She also enjoyed traveling with her family.
Tina is survived by her husband of 51 years Robert M. Head, her son Marty, her daughter-in-law Tisha, two grandchildren Avery and Ashton, her sister Barbara Doom and her brother Ronnie Sivils.
The funeral service will be at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 22 with Pastor Bill Parkinson officiating. A graveside service will be held at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 23 with Pastor Jim Stillwell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 21 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. Funeral Service Pallbearers are Steve Wilson, Philip Tappan, Doug Leech, Tim Benton, Doug Lowe and Roy Ridings. Graveside service pallbearers are Jerry Whitten, Robert Whitten, Buddy Couch, Tim Hathcoat, Kelly Rose and Bennie Futrell. Honorary Pallbearers are Dottye Arnold, Patty Lowe, Coralie Hawkins, and Tina's Community Bible Study class.
Memorials in Lieu flowers may be made to UAMS Winthrop P. Rockerfeller Cancer Institute, 4018 W. Capitol Ave, Little Rock, AR 72205 or Pine Log Cemetery, 11656, HWY 49 N Brookland, AR 72417.

We are so saddened to learn of Tina’s passing. As we read her obituary, we were so touched by not only her love for her family but also her life’s commitment to enriching the lives of disadvantaged children through her teaching and volunteer ism. She truly left a remarkable legacy.

With a broken heart we are sending our prayers to Tina's beautiful family. Tina was truly an angel on earth. We will never forget her and her example of sweetness and goodness we should should all set as a standard to live up to.
I was blessed to have her in my group at CBS. Her love for the Lord and for her family always showed through her sweet sweet spirit. She will be missed but she is now with Jesus! My prayers are with your family!
