Qindi (Katie) You, 27, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Fujian Province, Longyan, China, passed from this life into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born December 9, 1992, in Longyan, China, to her parents, Kailin You and Manmei Lin.
Katie came to the United States to pursue her education at UA Little Rock and was a senior Accounting major. She was anticipating graduating at the end of this Fall semester.
Katie had a radiant smile that displayed her joy in the Lord Jesus. Her deep love for God was readily apparent to all who knew her. When trying to express herself and her relationship to God in English, Katie would exclaim, "I just love GOD!"
Katie was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents. She is survived by her maternal grandparents, her parents, and her brother, Huangzhao You.
She will be greatly missed by her church family, the Little Rock Chinese Christian Church, those who knew her through IFO (International Friendship Outreach), the American and Chinese Christians at UA Little Rock, as well as the friends that she had met over the last several years at the Bible Camps that she attended, and a vast host of others who knew Katie.
A celebration of Katie's life will be held Saturday, September 19, at 2PM at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home at 13801 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, AR 72211 with Dr. Wilson Wong and Rev. Frank Du officiating. Overflow seating will be available at Parkway Place Baptist Church at 300 Parkway Place Drive, within walking distance from Roller-Chenal behind Kohl's. Visitation will be held at 1PM preceding the service, as well as immediately after the service until 4PM. Interment will follow on a later date at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas.
