I did not know of this today. Jane I and I talked from time to time. I am so sorry I missed this. The Brodnax family were dear friends of my family. Connie was so much fun as we were growing up. Jane had a melodic laugh I will never forget. She was always positive and had a way of making others feel uplifted and better about themselves. Connie and Sheila, Jane adored you and spoke of you often and I remember Connie Ann is your namesake, Connie. Courtney, you were the apple of her eye and I know you will miss her terribly. Bless all of you in your grief. I will always remember this wonderful family. Courtney, please stay in touch and let me know how you are doing. My email is AngelaVZ@msn.com.

Jane has been a dear friend since I moved into the neighborhood in 1996. She and I enjoyed many conversations over the fence. I will miss her sweet spirit and her fun-loving personality. Till we meet again.

My aunt Jane gave me some of the happiest memories of my childhood. When we would visit her and my grandmother, Uncle Bill and my cousin Connie in Little Rock in the summers, she always made us so welcome and made sure the kids had a great time. I remember her always being happy, and that she had a great sense of humor. I also appreciate that she kept in touch with my mother in my mom's later years, and would frequently call to catch up. I love her and will miss her.

My earliest memories of Jane are in Camden when she and Bill would show up at Dutchie and PaPa’s house with their two Weiner dogs. Her energy was unbelievable and absolutely set the place aglow and abuzz! God has gained an Angel we know we will see again!

I always enjoyed cousin Mattie Jane’s optimism and liveliness. I remember best the days she would visit Jurelia while on lunch break. They could fit a big visit into a short amount of time. A couple of years ago, Dad, Mom and I went by to see Jane before Dad’s health worsened. Dad was never one to sit still more than a few minutes, but he did that day. They enjoyed a good visit and shared old memories that still made them laugh. Sheila, Connie and Courtney, may your many good memories of Jane keep her close to you.

My Aunt Jane gave the best hugs - she enfolded you. I think she lived her life like that, enfolding those that needed her help in her family, through her business career, and her volunteer work. Even though we hadn't seen each other to share a hug in a long time, she never stopped reaching out to let me know she was thinking about me - she texted birthday wishes to me just a few days before she passed. I will miss her big spirit.
