James Perry Simpson, 67, of Lake City, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at NEA Hospital. He was born June 16, 1953 in Jonesboro. James was the manager for Pocahontas Ambulance. He served in the National Guard and loved hunting and fishing.
Perry was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline (Dent) Justus; his father, George Reese Simpson; a son, Paul Stephen Simpson; a brother, Don Simpson; and granddaughter, Jenna Simpson.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Perry include his wife, Samantha (Wattigney) Simpson; three sons, Brady (Dannielle), Ben (Sara) and Beau Simpson; a daughter, Jessica (Joseph) Whittaker; four grandchildren, Naomi Simpson, Jayce Whittaker, Jaylin Whittaker and Ingrid Simpson; and a brother, Stan Simpson.
No services are scheduled.
