Charles Eltis Baker, age 74, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at his home.

Charles was born October 29, 1945 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Eltis B. and Shirley Jeanne (Burnes) Baker. A lifetime resident of the area, Charles was a 32nd Degree Mason of Yellville Masonic Lodge 117. He was a former Yellville City Council member and a former member of Yellville Volunteer Fire Department. A truck driver for 43 years, he worked 28 of those years with Millbrook Distribution. He was a good Christian man and he loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife Jo Ella of the home; his daughter Joanalia (Mark) Proffitt of Summit, Arkansas; his grandsons: Logan Adams of Yellville, Arkansas; Reid (Anastasia) McGaughey of St. Charles, Missouri; one great-granddaughter Josie McGaughey; his brothers: Benny (Margaret) Baker of Benton, Arkansas; Robert (Connie) Baker of Yellville, Arkansas; Reggie (Stephanie) Baker of Peel, Arkansas; his adopted brothers: Larry Butler and David Wells, both of Harrison, Arkansas; his uncle Ralph Burnes; his brothers-in-law Lee Roy Kirkwood of Newport, Arkansas; Elza Guy Kirkwood of Beebe, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Visitation for Mr. Baker will be 1:00 - 2:30 pm Wednesday August 19, 2020 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Graveside service will be 3:00 pm Wednesday August 19, 2020 at Layton Cemetery with Bro. Carroll Johnson and Eric Rushing officiating.

Pallbearers will be Logan Adams, Reid McGaughey, Lester Evans, Larry Butler, Mike Elam, and David Carter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Proffitt, David Wells, Benny Baker, Robert Baker, Reggie Baker, the Members of Yellville Masonic Lodge, Lee Roy Kirkwood, Elza Guy Kirkwood, and all his trucking brothers for 43 years.

Memorials may be made to Yellville Masonic Lodge.

He was amazing man. He was always so nice and sweet and loving. He will be missed.
