Mary Louise Willey, 76, of Jonesboro, passed away August 10, 2020. She was born December 9, 1943 to Loy Allen Willey and Milrea Turner Willey. They both preceded her in death.

She was a 1961 graduate of Brookland High School. She attended Arkansas State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1965 and a Masters in Science and Education in 1969. She was a public school teacher at Clarendon, Bono which became Westside, and in the Malden Schools at Malden, MO. She also worked at the Cherub House. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, United Methodist Womens, Adult Too Sunday School Class and Brookland Retired Teachers

Mary leaves behind her cousins, Jane McFadden, Carol Willey and Kay Hayes; adopted nieces, Audrey Darnell of Pea Ridge, AR, and Dani Straub of Melbourne, FL; caregivers and friends, Martha Phillips and Ina Dawson; dear friend, Patti Nesmith; and members of the Dollar Club, Betty Wiley, Shirley Redd, Carol Loe, Rebecca Schreck, Tammy Davis and Martha Phillips.

Chapel services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Billy Vanderbuilt officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 pm until time of service.

Pallbearers will include Terry Chamber, Darrell Dawson, Nathan Bratten, Landon Scott, Ricky Carter, Chris Dow and Conner Dow. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Nesmith, Randy Kellem and Gerald Levens.

Lasting memorials can be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance while observing social distancing guidelines. All attendees must provide and wear masks upon entering and while in the building.
