Mr. and Mrs. Dorton,
I am just now seeing this obituary and I am sorry it took me this long to sign the guestbook. We are so sorry to hear about your son. We did not know him, but, we did you. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy and know that we care.
May GOD help the famly find solace at this time as only he can; and may your son's memories dwell in your hearts forever, as I am sure they will. Thinking about you, Mr. and Mrs. Dorton.

Eulas, I remember meeting you few years ago at St. Bernard
Hospital. Rick was in hospital at that time and I was employed there. He was having lung problems due to working so much under the big trucks, if I remember correctly.
I am Whitner (T. W. )Dorton's daughter, Wilma Fisher. I can recall your name being mentioned by my Dad. Dad has been gone since 2008. It does seem like I saw you at either his visitation or Virgil's (Cub), but I may not be correct on that.
If Rick has had difficulty all these years he put up a good fight. My prayers are with you and your wife....loosing a child is not easy I lost a daughter...My phone no. is 243-3350 if any family questions i might be able to answer. Prayers

Kaye and Gabe,

I’m so sorry for your loss. Rick was one of my favorite people. Every time I’d come in the shop while he was still there, he’d give me the biggest hug and make me laugh. I’m praying for the comfort only God can provide you during this time. He will be missed. Much love-
