Helen Louise Shinault, age 97 of Paris, died Saturday, August 8, 2020, at AHC of Paris.

Helen formerly worked at Furnace Electric in Batavia, IL. She was a member of the Assembly of God church in Lepanto, AR, and attended TVCC in Paris. She enjoyed traveling, planting flowers, and just ''going''. Helen was a member of the Senior Citizens' Centers in both Lepanto and Paris.

Born June 1, 1923, in Phil Campbell, AL, she was the daughter of the late Jess Franks and the late Ida Bell Heath Franks.

Helen married Melvin Shinault October 2, 1938, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Louise Wilson Hoefner of San Antonio, TX; four sons, Harley (Shirley) Shinault of Aurora, IL, Harvey Shinault, Lepanto, AR, Michael (Terrie) Shinault of Paris, Don (Jackie) Shinault of Paris; a sister, Gwen (Dean) Casey of Mountain Home, AR; a brother, Bobby (Sarah) Franks of Green Forest, AR; 15 grandchildren and 84 great and great great grandchildren.

Additional survivors include a daughter in law, Merlita Shinault of Lepanto, AR, and two sisters in law, Nyla Franks of Oswego, IL and Nancy Franks of Batesville, AR.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Sam Shinault and Marshall Shinault; five sisters, Maude Davis, Inez Deanue, Diane Franks and twins Flossie and Lissie Franks; seven brothers, Russ Franks, Lewis Franks, John Franks, Pete Franks, Glen Franks, Cranford Franks, and Eugene Franks; and a daughter in law, Teresa Shinault.

Arrangements are being handled locally by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 1-3pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The visitation will conclude with a prayer service at 3 pm, conducted by Ken Wells. Online guestbook www.ridgewayfuneralhome.com

A second visitation will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roller-Swift Funeral Home 2173 US-61, Osceola, AR 72370. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Roller-Swift Funeral Home with Gary Finley officiating. Burial will be in Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas. We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 100 people at one time. So sorry for your loss but blessed to know heaven gained a beautiful "ANGEL". I will always treasure the beautiful smile she always gave me and the friendship she shared with my late Mother.
