Bradley L. Harness, age 77 of Harriet, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 9th, 2020 at his home. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on April 29th, 1943 to Lofton Harness and Alta Pemberton Harness.
Bradley attended Big Flat and Marshall Schools through the 11th grade, and then earned his GED while in the military. He served his country during the Vietnam War with the 25th Infantry Division, 9th Artillery, 3rd Brigade 2nd Battalion, U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and The American Legion. He took great pride in his service and his country.
When he returned home from the Army, he married Glenda Gregg on June 16th, 1967. They celebrated 53 years together this year. Bradley worked in Logging, then 19 years with Flintrock Shirt Company in Research and Development. He then worked 2 years with Rogers Group before he became disabled. He and Glenda were the parents of three sons, Brad, Stuart and Ashley Harness.
Bradley was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Glenda (Gregg) Harness of the home; three sons, Bradley Scott Harness of Morrilton, Billy Stuart Harness of Harriet and Ashley Alan Harness of Harrison; and one brother, Kenny Harness and wife Carla of Marshall; grandchildren, Amber and husband Donavan Davis, Jacob, Raeden, Devlin, Dallas, Jasa, William and Georgia Harness; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Presley, Jackson, Porter, Teagan, Joaquin and Hosea; and two nieces, Amy Elliott and Mandy Feemster and their families.
Graveside Service for Bradley will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, August 11th, 2020 at East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Shane Horton and Bro. Donald Patterson officiating. Pallbearers are Brad, Stuart, Ashley, Raeden, Devlin, Jacob and Dallas Harness. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenny Harness, Benny Watts and Jackie Morrison.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are still practicing social distancing at our graveside services and all patrons are asked to wear a mask.
Anyone with underlying health conditions are advised to please stay home.
