R.W. Hollowell, 85, of Mount Pleasant passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
He was born on August 20, 1934 in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to Warren Alvis Hollowell and Maggie Ella (Clark) Hollowell.
R.W. was a man of faith and was well known and loved in the community. He worked in construction for over 28 years as well as being a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Hollowell; brother, Wayne Hollowell; and four sisters, Veda Holland, M.E. Skelton, Mildred Skelton and Dean Clark.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Billie (Barnes) Hollowell of the home; three sisters, Earnestine Satterwhite (Roy) of Cabot, Georgia Claxton (Jimmy) of Cushman and Kathleen Mason (Kenny) of Batesville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Kenny Mason, Jimmy Claxton, Roger Brown, Tim Brown, Casey Hightower and Caleb Daigle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Smith, Gus Sanchez, Steve Sanchez, Dave Hoover, Ernie Martin, Ronny Caraway, Joe Baker, Royce Slade, Bob Williams and Jason Manning.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Saturday August 8, 2020 at the church.
Service will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday August 8, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Pastor Jon Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance of this church to 100 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering. Social distancing will be observed.

Were sorry for your loss, RW was a Good Man ,I AM GLAD TO CALL HIM A FRIEND,,I REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I TALKED TO HIM, IT WAS AT BENNIE'S FUNERAL, HE WAS THE FIRST TO GIVE ME A BIG HUG THAT DAY ,,AND HE WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO COME TO KENNY'S WHEN HE HEARD ABOUT BENNIE PASSING AWAY, HE SAID HE WAS BAD WITH NAMES BUT HE NEW ME AND I TOLD HIM MY NAME, HE SAID THE NEXT TIME HE SAW ME HE WOULD
