John Kemp, age 78 of Chimes, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, August 3rd, 2020 at his home. He was a loved and respected member of the community. John was born in DeSoto, Missouri and moved to Arkansas with his wife Holly in 1996.

John was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a high school graduate. John retired as a construction supervisor before moving to Arkansas. He was involved with the South Mountain Water District and worked for ESI supervising the installation of the water lines. He enjoyed fast pitch soft ball, hunting, team penning, farming and the St. Louis Cardinals. John also enjoyed socializing with his friends here in Arkansas.

Survivors include his wife, Holly of the home; sister, Mary Metcalf (Ron) of St. Louis, MO; three children, Michael Kemp (Melissa) of Nashville, AR, Michelle Pilch (Dave) of Canyon Lake, CA and Shane DeWalt (Lorna) of Imperial, MO; and grandchildren, Brogan Kemp, Jonah Kemp and Ronnie DeWalt.

No services are planned at his time. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Searcy County Veterans Hall, 108 Noah Horton Drive, Marshall, AR 72650.
