of Yellville, AR
August 1, 2020
On Saturday, August 1, 2020, Ronald William McPherson passed away at the age of 61. Ron was born on May 7, 1959, in Lufkin, Texas to William and Louise McPherson. Ron married Tamatha Peak on October 22, 2000, and they raised two children, Tyler Junkin and Tiara Florio.
After high school, Ron served in the United States Army before returning home to go to college. He attended the University of Arkansas and received his Bachelor of Science in accounting. After attending school at the UofA, Ron kept that deep passion for the Arkansas Razorbacks; you could always find him in his Razorback gear watching a game. Ron also had a deep passion to serve his community. Over the past several years, Ron has been a member of the Mid-Marion County Rotary Club, the Yellville Chamber of Commerce, and he served as a Justice of the Peace for Marion County. Ron ended his career as the Marion County Treasurer and retired from that job in July of 2020. Ron loved to travel with his family and friends and experienced many new places over the years. He had three wonderful grandchildren who were the light of his life. Everyone who knew Ron knows how much he loved to smile and laugh, and make others do the same. He was always playing tricks on people and giving everyone a hard time. He had his niece convinced for many years when she was a child that his middle name was ''wonderful'', after she had asked what the ''W'' stood for. His smile and laughter will be missed in our community.
Ron is survived by his mother Louise McPherson of Yellville, his wife Tamatha (Peak) McPherson of Yellville, two children: Tiara Florio and Tyler Junkin of Yellville, three grandchildren: Kynlie Florio, Kannen Florio, and Rheagan Junkin, one brother Kevin McPherson (Pam) of West Fork, Arkansas, and one sister; Kathleen Etrice (Warren) of Darnel, Arkansas.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, William McPherson.
An outdoor memorial will be held Friday, August 7, at 10 o'clock in the morning at the First Presbyterian Church of Yellville. Flowers may be sent to the church at 2250 US 62 Yellville, Arkansas
Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
Our prayers for the family. We moved away from peel in may and didn’t know Ron had passed away. What a fine guy he was. From our times we met him through Breado s he always was a pleasure. Everytime you saw him at the courthouse he never failed to speak. I’m quiet sure Yellville is a better place for the time he spent here. Prayers
It's been nearly a year now, and it surprises me to find how often I think of Ronnie. We were friends for a very long time, although our relationship had some ups and downs over the years. He saw me through a very rough time back in high school. So thankful we reconnected and reconciled, and that I got to visit with him over breakfast at Breadeaux before it was too late. The first year without a loved one is a tough one, and my heart goes out to Louise and his grandkids.
Ron’s great laugh and loving heart will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I hope you’re two stepping in heaven and calling the hogs my friend.

I have fond memories of working with Ron while he was a member of the Ozark Opportunities, Inc. Board of Directors. His compassion and commitment to ensure staff were treated fairly and the people we serve are respected was welcomed, and he was had a positive outlook and infectious smile.
He will be missed by those that knew him, and remembered fondly for his contributions to his community. RIP Ron, my prayers are with you and your family.
Ron was one of the most influential men of my life. As a 10 year old, Ron became my step father. He was patient and kind. He loved my brother and I like we were his own sons. He shared his life and family in Arkansas with us which are some of my fondest memories of my childhood. He was a great influence and who I have modeled being a father after. Thank you Ron for everything you did for us. You will never be forgotten. RIP. Go Hogs!
Carol and I will miss Ron so much. He was the Greatest Boss and good friend. We pray for the family for the Lord to provide Peace and Comfort. May the Lord Bless You All.

Ron was such a good boss. I worked for him back in 1999-2000 and he was fun to work with. My girls would come in and he would give them soda and leftovers from the bar to snack on. He would send food home with me sometimes because I was a single mom and he knew the girls loved pizza. He was a really good person and I know he will be missed.
