On July 20, 2020, Dorothy (Dottie) Royce, loving wife and mother of two children passed away in her sleep surrounded by those she loved.
Dottie was born in San Bernardino, California on June 8, 1941 to JC and Phyllis Rolan. She later settled with her family in Benton, AR and was a partner realtor at Old South Realty until December 2019 at which time she retired. She attended Sharon Missionary Baptist Church.
She had a passion for fashion and family and enjoyed spending time shopping and doting on her dog, Abby. She was known for her quick wit and infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. The world becomes heavier without her presence, but Dottie watches her family from above.
Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, John Royce, a son, Douglas Dean Royce, and a brother, Jack Charles of Fontana, California.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Royce Findley and son-in-law, Dan Findley. Grandchildren, Joshua Workman and his bride, Amelia, Stevie Pollack and her husband, Kendall, Aaron and Derrick Royce and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park on Thursday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Michael Reese, Pastor of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church will be presiding.

Dottie was a joy to be around! She was so caring and full of wisdom! She was smart and a much stronger and braver person than most know! She was a Godly woman who sincerely loved the Lord and wanted to be a light to the world! I admired her faith and love for others! She was a wonderful example to all who knew her! She was loved by so many and she will be missed by all! Old South will never be the same without her! I know she is in heaven dancing before her Heavenly Father joined by all who have passed before her! Love you and miss you deeply Dottie Lou!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about Dottie passing. She was in my Sunday school class at Sharon and was loved by all! Her dress and makeup were always impeccable and her smile was infectious. She will be missed by so many😢 Praying the Lord will give you peace and the ability to recall are your precious memories ðŸ'œ
My deepest sympathy to Dan, Debbie and family for your loss. Dottie was a beautiful person inside and out, and will be missed by everyone who knew her. I hope that gives comfort knowing how much she was loved.
