Patsy Joyce Spears

of Hot Springs, AR

May 19, 1952 - July 16, 2020

Patsy Joyce Owens Stone Spears, 68, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 16, 2020. She was born May 19, 1952 in Benton to Frantze Lemoine ''Butch'' and Reba Mae Goodwin Owens.

Patsy was retired from AT&T. She loved to paint and do crafts, read, and spend time with grandchildren. She was known for being an adventurous, fun-loving, kind-hearted, woman who was generous to all she knew and was ''NaNa'' to so many. While she is in a greater place, the world will be darker without her smile laughter. Her kindness was unmatched and her love for her family is what legends are made of! She will be dearly missed by many who loved her.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Brandon Todd Moore, and her niece, Cassandra ''Cassie'' Raper.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Carl Spears; her children, "Julie" Prinn Vandergrift and her husband, Brian, Summar Lee Stone, Alicia Fon Hall, Bridgette ''DeeDee'' Spears, Angela Marie O'Day and her husband, Sean; grandchildren, Paris Caldwell, Canaan McGee, Thomas Vandergrift, Maddix Ellis, Jordan Berry, Hunter Spears, Riley Spears, Ayden Spears, Allye Spears, Julia O'Day, Kathyrn O'Day, and Joseph O'Day; one great-grandson, Gabriel Gatewood; siblings, Ralph Owens and wife, Kathy, Phyllis Owens, Donna Shannon, Jimmy Owens and wife, Dana, and Teresa Berry and husband, Ed, and many other extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Service will be Monday, July 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Social Hill Cemetery in Benton. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing will be practiced, and face coverings will be required.

Patsy's body will lie at rest for family and friends to pay their respects from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2020, with the immediate family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home, 6700 Alcoa Road, Benton. We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.

I am so sorry to hear of Patsy‘s passing. Patsy and I were both 1970 graduates of Benton High School and I had many classes with her. Patsy was always a joy to be around, with that beautiful smile and her laid-back funny composure. I know she will be missed; may God be with her family during this time.

I worked with Patsy for many years at the plant in Little Rock. She was always fun to work with and was very conscientious In her work ethics. I know Patsy’s family will miss her but my goodness, look at all the fond memories they have of her. I have been blessed by having the honor of knowing such a sweet lady.
Rest In Peace, Patsy!
