Charles Clifton Cannon beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on July 7, 2020 at age 94 in Austin, TX. He was born on May 13, 1926 in Osceola, Arkansas to Cliff and Ruth Cannon and was a member of the First Methodist Church in Osceola. Charlie served in the Army during WWII in the Philippines and South Korea and shared many stories of his experiences during that time. He lived life to the fullest and even at the age of 94, he was still a private licensed pilot. He was a mentor to many family members and friends. Charlie spent 15-years in the car business in Osceola prior to purchasing Bill Moore Chevrolet in Ponca City, OK in 1969 renaming the dealership to Charlie Cannon Chevrolet. He had a vigorous 30-year career in Ponca City and acquired several car dealerships. Charlie was past Director and Chairman of the Board of the former Pioneer Bank & Trust and past Director of the former First National Bank in Ponca City. He was also a Third Degree Mason, 32 Degree Mystic Shrine, Sahara Temple. After retiring from the car business in 1990, Charlie enjoyed ranching/farming and spending time at Pioneer Cove Marina with his friends and family. He always said the reason he was able to keep on going was because of his friends at the marina.

He is survived by his son-in-law and daughter, Gary and Connie Reed; Grandchildren - Cliff Cannon (Myra), Bobby Cannon (Sabra), Lee Catalano (Matt), Charles Reed (Nicole), Barnabas Reed (Kasey), Kim Donnell (Clint), Dan Bayha, Barbi Spore (John), and Todd Cannon and great-grandchildren Caitlin Cannon, Brittny Cannon, James Catalano, Brad Catalano, Lily Reed, Oliver Reed, Skyler Donnell, Holden Bayha, Seth Bayha, and Avery Spore.
