David Dame, 71, of Batesville passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020.He was born on March 11, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Billy Joe and Mary Lee (Allison) Dame.

David was an avid reader who loved the Razorbacks. He was strong in his faith and worked hard for the Lord. He was an elder at Harrison Street Church of Christ. David was loved by many, but most of all he loved his family dearly. He retired from the National Guard, banking, and real estate.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lesa Dame of the home; three sons, Jonathan Matthew Dame (Amber) of Nashville, Tennessee, Edward A. House, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Michael House (Kayla) of Batesville; one daughter, Emily Dame Mann (John) of Florence, Alabama; three sisters, Ava Mensi (Bob) of Memphis, Tennessee, Beth Reese (Gary) of Jackson, Tennessee, Tami Dame Watson of Hoxie, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Savannah Pickens (Levi), John Andrew Dame, Griffin Anderson, William Owen Mann, Edward David Mann, Ava Elizabeth Mann, Cannon House, Talon House, Rowan House, and Haven House.

Graveside Service will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery at 10:00am with Steve Smith officiating. There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers are Billy Michael Watson, John Andrew Dame, Billy Thomas, Tracy Wallis, Jonathan Freiert, and John Mann.

Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Hampton, Benson Hardaway, Phillip Lloyd, Edward L. House, Joseph Hill, Steve Wells, Tom Carlile, Rick Freiert, and all of his fellow deacons at Harrison Street Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to:

Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and social distancing will be observed.

I mourn the death of one of my nephews David Dame. Perhaps because he was the eldest of that remarkable group.
He will always be the the child who would cry so hard he would lose conciousness. Of course he would recover and breathe again, to my great relief!
He grew up to be a man of distinction and worth.
